Shark Watercolor Pencil Totem Animal

Shark is the 12th piece of the totem animal project, as well as the 12th in the aquatic series. It is watercolor pencil of a shark swimming towards you through sea grass. The shark is a symbol of: authority, certainty, competition, determination, ferocity, grace, sensing movement, scent, and being uncompromising. 

The piece was created in 2017. It is 16″ x 20″ on 18″ x 24″ paper and in a 22″ x 26″ black frame with a white mat.  It took approximately 7.5 hours to complete. I used General’s Kimberly watercolor pencils on Canson mix media paper, and then painted over it with water. It has a spray varnish finish. The original includes Certificate of Authenticity and usually ships in 1 to 5 business days.

Orca is the 6th piece in my totem animal project, as well as the 6th in the aquatic series.  It is watercolor pencil of an orca (also known as killer whale, which is a misnomer, since it is a porpoise) swimming through some sea grass.
