Blue Jay Watercolor Pencil Avian Totem Animal Fine Art

Blue Jay is a beautiful watercolor pencil drawing of a blue jay standing on a branch and looking over his back at the viewer.  It is the 26th piece of the Totem Animal Project and the 2nd piece of the Avian Series.  Blue Jays are symbols of: adventure, aggression, authority, energy, enhanced memory, ferocity, freedom, gallantry, imagination, passion, and truth.

The piece was created in 2019. It is 16″ x 20″ on 18″ x 24″ paper and in a 22″ x 26″ frame.  It took approximately 8.5 hours to complete. I used General’s Kimberly and Faber-Castell watercolor pencils and on Canson mix media paper, and then painted over it with water. It has a spray varnish finish. It includes Certificate of Authenticity and usually ships in 1 to 5 business days directly from The Unfolding Butterfly.
